Warrior Dash 2011, Ontario: 11th Place Finish

NutritionRx owner Jennifer Broxterman likes to take on new challenges.  Jennifer recently competed in the 2011 Warrior Dash 5 km race at Horseshoe Ski Resort in Barrie, Ontario on Saturday July 9, 2011.  Much to Jennifer’s delight and surprise, she finished 11th place overall out of 1,138 female competitors aged 25-29 years old!

The race consisted of 3.24 miles up and down ski hills and cross-country terrain while overcoming 11 unknown obstacles along the way, including leaping over fire pits, running through a junk yard, climbing over walls, and getting down and dirty crawling through a giant mud pit at the finish line.  Close to 10,000 people pushed themselves to finish the gruelling Warrior Dash race that day.

It doesn’t matter what activity you pick to stay in shape, as long as you’re having fun and can finish with a smile on your face, you’re clearly doing something right!
