Age & Muscles: MRI Images of Quadriceps
As the saying goes, “a picture is worth a thousand words”. When I look at these MRI images of the quadriceps of athletes vs. sedentary individuals, one message screams out loud and clear: “USE IT OR LOSE IT!”
When working with clients I measure success based on the behaviours they can control, such as eating lots of vegetables and fruit each day, having breakfast, packing a healthy lunch and nutritious snacks for a busy work day, fitting in some exercise, not snacking in front of the TV at night, and the list goes on. Making the choice to move your body and eat wholesome foods each day are two things you can control, which is far more important than your ultimate weight on the scale or the size of your thighs.
If you are interested in learning more about your body composition and finding out your body fat percentage and percentage of lean muscle mass, visit Body Composition Testing on my website for more details about how to book an appointment in the BOD POD.
